SUMMARY:Customs & Excise Council: November 2024 Video Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Customs & Excise Council will convene virtually on November 12. A representative from the Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) will present on the current U.S. export control rules\, focusing on Foreign Direct Product Rules (FDPR) and the Common High Priority List (CHPL). This session aims to help member companies subject to the new U.S. Export Administration Regulations navigate the updated rules and compliance requirements.\n\n \n\nIn recent years\, BIS has expanded the FDPR to cover a broader range of circumstances. These rules apply to manufacturers\, exporters\, and companies in the supply chain related to U.S. items overseas\, as well as those producing items overseas using U.S.-origin components or U.S. technology. \n\n \n\nWe invite AMCHAM members involved in the supply chain of semiconductors\, electronics\, mechanical components\, and related industries to join this important meeting.
