SUMMARY:Customs & Excise Council: November 2025 Video Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Customs & Excise Council will convene virtually on November 11. This Council supports AMCHAM members in their import and export activities\, and these meetings serve as a forum to share common challenges and seek clarification. Council leaders will also share updates on AMCHAM's ongoing dialogue with the Customs & Excise Departments.\n\n\n\nThe upcoming Customs & Excise Council will address the issues of illicit trade and counterfeit products. We would like to call on affected members to share their experiences\, discuss impacts\, and propose solutions to combat these challenges. In light of the recent Joint Statement on a Framework for a United States-Thailand Agreement on Reciprocal Trade\, which notably includes provisions for the removal of the customs rewards system\, a development that could have far-reaching implications for trade practices and enforcement strategies. Interested members please register to join.\n\n\n\nAll AMCHAM members are welcome to attend the Customs & Excise Council meetings to stay abreast of the customs & excise policy priorities that AMCHAM advocates for on behalf of members. Advance registration is necessary.
