She currently serves as the Deputy American Citizen Services (ACS) Chief at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok\, where she supervises a team of 22 staff who provide a full range of consular services to U.S. citizens in Thailand. Prior to joining the State Department\, Katherine practiced as a lawyer in London in the fields of litigation and insolvency. Katherine received degrees in Law\, German\, and English Literature from the University of Victoria\, Wellington\, New Zealand and is a Member of the New Zealand Bar. Katherine speaks German\, Mandarin Chinese\, and Thai.\n\n\n\nJonathan Collett is a career Foreign Service Officer with the Department of State and the U.S. Embassy's Voting Assistance Officer. He currently serves as a Vice Consul in the American Citizens Services Unit at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok. Prior to joining the Consular Section in Bangkok\, Jonathan worked as a Public Diplomacy Strategist in the State Department's Bureau of Democracy\, Human Rights\, and Labor and as a Youth Development Peace Corps Volunteer in Ancash\, Peru. Jonathan speaks Spanish and Thai.\n\n\n\nJared Brown is currently a Vice Consul serving in the American Citizens Services Unit at U.S. Embassy\, Bangkok. Prior to joining the Consular Section\, Jared worked as an English Program Coordinator in Tianjin\, China where he also received his bachelor's in teaching Chinese to non-native Chinese speakers and as a volunteer with the International Language Program in Moscow\, Russia and Nanjing\, China.
