SUMMARY:Energy Business Roundtable with USTDA
DESCRIPTION:As a follow-up to the Energy Business Roundtable with Assistant Secretary Fannon in June\, AMCHAM is bringing together key energy executives for a working meeting with U.S. government officials in charge of leading the Asia EDGE (Asia Enhancing Development and Growth Through Energy) project\, one of the three economic pillars supporting the U.S.'s Free and Open Indo-Pacific Strategy.\n\n \n\nTwo senior USTDA representatives\, Shannon Roe\, Senior Country Manager\, Indo-Pacific\, Energy Sector Lead (based in Washington D.C.)\; and Brandon Megorden\, Regional Manager for Asia (based in Bangkok) will present tools to support U.S. commercial opportunities in the energy sector in Thailand and Southeast Asia\, and seek feedback from companies based in Thailand about the unique challenges and opportunities here.\n\n \n\nThe U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) is the U.S. Government's international project planning agency. USTDA engages U.S. private sector in infrastructure projects and procurement planning at the critical early stages when the project technology options and requirements are being defined. USTDA's tools include:\n\n	Feasibility Studies and Technical Assistance Grants: USTDA provides grants to fund feasibility studies\, technical assistance\, and other project planning activities that provide the comprehensive analysis required for infrastructure and systems investments to move from the concept stage to the financing and implementation stage. \n	Pilot Project Grants: USTDA provides grants to fund pilot projects in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of U.S. technology solutions and provide the analysis\, evaluation and empirical data needed to secure implementation funding.\n	Reverse Trade Missions: USTDA-sponsored Reverse Trade Missions ("RTMs") bring key decision makers and project developers from overseas to the United States to learn more about U.S. technology and service providers\, financiers\, policy and regulatory frameworks\, and other resources that can support the deployment of new infrastructure.\n	Training Grants: USTDA training grants can be requested to fund technical assistance or capacity building in support of shortlisted U.S. bidder(s) participating in an international competitive tender. The training grant offer is contingent upon the selection and award of a contract to the U.S. offeror(s) and may add training scope or other technical support beyond the U.S. company's bid to enhance the value for the procuring entity.
