Join us for an exclusive opportunity to hear the Ambassador share insights on the Embassy's priorities for the year ahead\, including strategies to strengthen U.S.-Thailand relations\, promote trade and investment\, and support American businesses in the region.\n\n\n\nAbout our Speaker\n\nSean Kotaro O'Neill\, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service. He most recently served as the Foreign Policy Advisor to the Commandant of the Marine Corps and Senior Bureau Official for the Department of State's Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs from Jan to Jul 2025\, overseeing over 40 diplomatic posts across East Asia. Mr. O'Neill has served two diplomatic assignments in Thailand\, as the United States Consul General in Chiang Mai and earlier as the Political-Military Unit Chief at Embassy Bangkok\, as well as six other overseas tours\, including in Bangladesh\, Afghanistan\, Burma\, and Hong Kong.\n\n\n\nMr. O'Neill's domestic duties have included service as a legislative fellow on the staff of the Chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs and the State Department visiting professor at The George Washington University. Mr. O'Neill received a B.A. from Tulane University and a J.D. from Fordham University's School of Law. He has studied the Thai\, Chinese\, Burmese\, Bengali and Japanese languages.
