DESCRIPTION:Please join AMCHAM in welcoming the Vice Minister for Industry\, Sirinun Siripanich\, to address members at our June luncheon. \n\n\n\nThe Ministry of Industry plays a crucial role in promoting Thai competitiveness in the global arena\, establishing an industrial ecosystem to foster Thailand 4.0\, and promoting sustainable industrial business models for economic growth.\n\n \n\nUnder the theme "Unlocking Opportunities: Strategies for Thai Manufacturing to Thrive"\, Vice Minister Sirinun will provide updates on the Ministry's policies and mid- and long-term goals\; Thai industry's adaptation to mandatory environmental standards such as CBAM\; the online manufacturing licensing system\; regulations on waste management and public nuisance\; as well as Thai industrial standards.   \n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Speaker:\n\n\n\nSirinun Siripanich was appointed as Vice Minister for Industry in October 2023. Apart from serving as Vice Minister\, she is also a chairwoman of the Board of Children\, Women\, Youth\, Elderly\, and The Underprivileged. Previously\, she was the Advisor to the Office of Thai Trade Representative\, focusing on international trade and investment policies\, and the Advisor to Lopburi Thananya Pattana Nikom and Lopburi Panchaya Pattana Nikom.\n\n\n\nIn academia\, Sirinun has served as Assistant Manager and Counsellor at the Srivikorn Management Technological College\, Assistant Director of International Relation Division\, and instructor at Kasem Bundit University.\n\n\n\nSirinun earned her Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honors) from Thammasat University under King Bhumibol Scholarship Program\, and a Master of Public Administration in Urban Policy and Sustainable Development from Columbia University.
