Previously\, he has served as Minister of Transportation from 2012 to 2014\, where he initiated critical infrastructure projects such as high-speed trend infrastructure at the Central Bang Sue station and extended dark red-line electric trains to support commuters. He began his career as Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering\, Chulalongkorn University. Chadchart holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with first-class honors from Chulalongkorn University\, a Master of Structural Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)\, and a doctorate in Engineering from University of Illinois\, Urbana-Champaign.
