Since the importance of the digital economy has increased in a significantly faster rate due to Covid-19 pandemic\, the effective IPR protection for products and services in the digital and technological sectors are critical to foster creativity and innovations\, contributing to the growth of Thailand's digital and overall economy.\n\n\n\nPlease join the Legal Committee to welcome Kanitha Kungsawanich\, Deputy Director-General\, Department of Intellectual Property. Kanitha will provide remarks on the department's priorities on IPR protection\, its policies and strategies to protect IPR of digital and technological creations and innovations\, and finally\, technological advancements of the department to protect Intellectual Property in Thailand.\n\n\n\nAbout the speaker:\n\n\n\nKanitha has held positions in the Ministry of Commerce\, ranging from a position at the Permanent Mission of Thailand to the World Trade Organization\, Department of Trade Negotiations\, to a few positions in Department of Intellectual Property.\n\n\n\nKanitha holds Bachelor of Arts from Chulalongkorn University\, and Master of Public Policy from University of Michigan Ann Arbor\, and Master of Philosophy in International Relations from University of Cambridge.
