DESCRIPTION:AMCHAM is delighted to welcome Ekanit Romyanon\, Deputy Secretary-General of the Thai Industrial Standards Institute\, Ministry of Industry of Thailand\, to address the AMCHAM membership at our online Membership Meeting. Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) is the key agency in developing mandatory and voluntary Thai Industrial Standards as well as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).\nJoin the Manufacturing Committee to welcome Ekanit Romyanon\, Deputy Secretary General\, Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) who will provide an overview of TISI authorities on industrial standards initiation and implementation. Participants will also have opportunities to learn about regulations concerning TISI standard compliance as well as penalties for non-compliance.\n\n\n\nAbout the speaker:\n\nEkanit Romyanon is currently the Deputy Secretary-General of TISI\, Ministry of Industry. Prior to this position\, he served as Director at Office of the National Standardization Council\, Chairman of APEC Subcommittee for Standards and Conformance\, as well as Vice Chair of Pacific Accreditation Cooperation. With almost 20 years of experiences in the field\, he has been a guest speaker and trainer for ISO/IEC courses in Singapore\, Malaysia\, Korea\, and Japan. Mr. Ekanit holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from Chulalongkorn University and a Master of Engineering Science (Electrical)\, The University of New South Wales\, Australia.
