Before joining the State Department\, Nathan was an officer in the United States Air Force. While in the United States Air Force\, Nathan served in South Korea\, Afghanistan\, and the United Kingdom. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Augsburg University in Minneapolis\, Minnesota in 2003 and received a Masters of Arts from the American Military University in 2014. Nathan was born and raised in Minnesota and has a wife and four kids who are enjoying their first time in Thailand.
